We offer several ideas and suggestions that may help you locate cable problems, or conclude that the problems are not cable-related in serial interface cables. As with debugging any technical problem, people who are patient and methodical will always succeed more quickly than those who let their frustration get the better of them. Remember always that when you are debugging equipment, hasty action may create new problems that did not exist in the first place.
